The Calaxy platform is built with a powerful set of selling features to help you build your own economy. The selling engine is designed to deliver ultra fast, no-hassle buying and delivery experiences - all through Calaxy Messenger. Read on to get familiar with the high level concepts.

💼 What Can I Sell?

There are currently 11 ways to make money on Calaxy (and we're working on more). These are broken into 5 product categories:

1. Subscriptions

"Subscriptions" are products that your fans pay for on a monthly basis and include:

1. Fan Club

2. Paid Follows

3. World Memberships (Subscription Access Mode)

2. Services

"Services" are a class of product where your fans request an interaction with you using one of the built-in service tools :

1. Video Messages

2. Video Calls

3. Shoutouts

4. Premium DMs

5. Special Requests

🧠 The best way to think about Services: the fan is setting the context, not you.

Examples:

• "I want you to sing me happy birthday" (Video Message)

• "I want to talk about my boyfriend issues with you" (Video call)

• "I want you for a meet n' greet at my daughters sweet 16!" (Special Request)

3. Experiences

"Experiences" are a class of product on Calaxy where you curate a set of pre-built interactions with fans. Experiences are a branded service product. Experiences display as categorized product cards directly on your profile, allowing fans to quickly shop for whatever you are selling!

🧠 The best way to think about Experiences: You are setting the context, not the fan.

Examples:

• A yoga instructor could use the video call tool to build an inventory of 1v1 digital yoga lessons

• A digital 3D artist could use the special request tool to build an inventory of commission services

• An streamer could use the shoutout tool to craft a specific set of paid content placements

4. Paid Polls

Verified Creators can publish paid polls that charge $1 per vote. This gives superfans the opportunity to stake their influence over key decisions you are opening up to your fans.

Examples:

• An high school football star athlete could poll which college he should commit to

• An NBA Player could poll which pair of shoes he should wear at the game tonight

• A music artist could poll her superfans on which select cities she should do private shows after her main concert

Paid polls pay out in realtime as each $1 poll is cast.

5. Tips

As a verified Creator, you can accept tips from your fans right off your profile, or inside Calaxy Messenger (via the Action Menu > Tip). Tips are a commission-free way for fans to add a little something extra to your pocket (Calaxy doesn't charge a fee for tips)

💰 Completing Jobs & Getting Paid

Subscriptions, Tips, and Paid Polls all pay out automatically directly to your wallet. For Service and Experience products, you need to complete the job in order to get paid.

Completing Jobs:

Anytime a fan buys a service or experience from you, the payment is deposited to escrow for safe keeping, and a job is created and texted to you inside Calaxy Messenger, awaiting your approval / completion. Jobs live inside the Messenger > Jobs tab.

🧠 The best way to think about the Messenger > Jobs tab is: your money-good, book of business. 💵 Everything on the job board has already been paid for, and is waiting for you to complete.

Getting Paid:

Each job type will have its own specifics, but they all share the same format: a special message box in a direct chat with the fan. This message box will contain instructions for you to follow in order to complete the job and instantly unlock the pending payout.

Here's how it all works together:

1. Fan buys a $200 video message from you asking for some life advice

2. The fan's payment is processed and held in escrow

3. A job is created and texted to you automatically from the fan

4. The job is posted to the Messenger > Jobs tab and you are notified

5. You open the job from the fan and record + upload a video with some life advice for their situation

6. The video is texted to the fan automatically and the job is marked complete

7. You unlock the payout and get paid $200 instantly in your Wallet. BOOM. PAID.
