Introduction

Shoutouts are basically sponsored posts paid for by fans (or brands/sponsors) either on Calaxy or other supported social apps. Shoutouts need to remain active for at least 24 hours to count as a completed job. Calaxy tracks all this automatically, and sends you the payout as soon as this criteria is met.

📣 Enabling Shoutouts

To enable Shoutouts in your Shop, do the following:

1. From your own profile, tap "Manage My Shop" (or "Setup Shop" if you haven't enable any products yet)

2. In the Services section, tap "Setup" beside the "Shoutouts" product

3. Set the Shoutout fee for each supported channel*

4. Tap "Activate Shoutouts" button to turn on Shoutouts

Congrats! Fans can now buy Shoutouts from you in your Shop.

*You will need to connect to each supported social channel (eg. X) in order to turn on Shoutout services for that channel

📨 Delivering Shoutouts

When a fan buys Shoutout from you, it will show up as a Job in the Messages > Jobs. You will also get a notification about it. Shoutouts can have expiry timers (fan needs the shoutout by XYZ date/time) so be sure to deliver the Shoutout before the timer runs out. Expiry timers are indicated directly on the job details panel for each Shoutout.

To complete a Shoutout:

1. Go to the Messages > Jobs tab.

2. Tap on the Shoutout Job to open it and view the job details

3. Review all the job details sent from the fan, including the nature of the shoutout, what social channel they want the shoutout on, and importantly, what account you need to tag in the post body.

4. When ready, publish the Shoutout on the requested social channel

5. Copy over the post link and paste it in the "Verify Shoutout" field at the bottom of the Jobs panel

6. Calaxy will look for the Shoutout and verify that it is active. (address any errors that come up during this check)

7. Once the post link is verified, the jobs panel will minimize and Calaxy will automatically send the Shoutout link to the fan in your 1:1 chat with them.

8. The Shoutout needs to remain active on your account for at least 24hrs to count as a complete Job.

9. At the 24hr mark, Calaxy will automatically mark the job as "complete" and unlock the payout directly to your wallet. At this point, you can safely take down the post from your account (if you wish to).

Shoutout FAQs:

Can a fan cancel a shoutout request anytime before I post the Shoutout?

The fan can cancel or change the request any time before you actually post the Shoutout on your account. If they cancel, they will automatically be issued a refund.

How long does the Shoutout post need to remain active on my account before I get paid?

Shoutouts need to remain active on your account for at least 24hrs in order to count as a completed job. You need to paste the Shoutout link in the Shoutout's job details so Calaxy can track this and pay you out when the 24hr mark is reached. After this, you can take down the post.

What if a fan isn't happy with the Shoutout?

Calaxy does not officially offer refunds for Shoutouts. If the platform you are posting on allows edits, you can work with the fan to make edits to the live shoutout post and improve their satisfaction during the 24hr period. But refunds after the fact, are not issued by Calaxy.
