When you are chatting with a verified Creator, you can quick-buy services and experiences directly from the ⚡ Action menu inside your chat with them. All paid interactions between you and a Creator happen inside DMs. And it works like magic 🪄.

1. 📹 Video Messages

2. ☎️ Video Calls

3. 📣 Shoutouts (sponsored posts)

4. 🪢 Follows (you pay them to follow you)

5. 💌 Special Request (send them an open-ended request)

6. 🌟 Experiences (Curated digital or IRL experiences they are offering)

Each of these services ultimately get facilitated through your direct message convo with the Creator on Calaxy. We handle the request management, logistics, security, delivery, and payments (+ refunds) so you can enjoy a seamless buying experience.

*Not all Creators will offer all services. Creators have the option to choose which services they want to turn on and offer to their fans. If you see some services missing from their Shop, it means they don't have that particular service enabled. But you can always message them directly and request they turn that service on!

🛍️ Buying A Service From A Creator

Verified Creators on Calaxy have a Shop of digital products that live on their profile. This shop can be accessed from 3 places:

1. Directly on their Profile

2. Action ⚡ menu inside a chat convo with the Creator

3. Shop tab on the main bottom nav bar of a WORLD they own.

All 3 of these routes bring you to the same Shop panel where you can browse subscription products, services, and curated experiences they have on sale.

Buying A Service or Experience:

Here is what buying and receiving a service from a Creator looks like on Calaxy:

1. You buy a service from the Creator's shop (like a Video Message)

2. You pay for the product in advance, but the funds are securely stored in escrow for the time being

3. A job is created and texted to the Creator automatically from inside your DM chat with them

4. The Creator needs to complete a set of steps that are specific to the service type you purchased (eg. Video Message will have a different set of requirements than a Video Call, which will be different from a Shoutout)

5. Once the Creator completes the steps outlined in the job (delivers the service to you), the job will be marked complete and the funds will be released to the Creator from escrow

🛡️ Calaxy Buyer Protection

Whenever you buy a service or experience from a Creator, your payment is stored in escrow by Calaxy until the Creator either delivers the service/experience to you, or cancels the job. In almost all cases, you can also cancel the job and get a full refund before the Creator delivers the service.

Each type of service you purchase will come with a specific set of instructions that need to be followed by the Creator in order to successfully deliver the service to you.

For example: If you buy a 📹 Video Message from a Creator, they need to record and upload the video message into the job box waiting in your chat and send it to you. Once sent, the job will be marked complete and your payment will automatically be released to the Creator. Each service type comes with its own predefined success criteria to make sure Creators properly deliver the service to you before the funds for the job are released to them. This provides an extra layer of assurance for both you, and the Creator during paid interactions.

Texting With Creators FAQ

How do I know if I am chatting with a verified Creator?

Verified creators have a "checkmark" verified badge beside their username. Inside the chat, look for a checkmark badge beside the username of the person your are chatting (at the top of the screen, with their avatar). If you see a checkmark badge, it means they are a verified Creator. This doesn't necessarily mean they are selling services though, it just means that they have the ability to setup a Shop and start selling. To see if the Creator is selling any services, see the next question. 😊

Where can I find the services offered by a Creator I am chatting with?

Inside the chat, open the "⚡" action menu at the bottom left of the window, beside the message composer. If you see a "Shop Services" option — this means the Creator has at least 1 service setup that you can purchase. Tap the "Shop Services" menu option to slide open the Creator's shop and peep what services and experience they are offering. If you find anything you like, go ahead and make the purchase! The job will be created and sent to the Creator directly inside your chat convo with them.

I'm trying to send a message to a Creator, but its asking me to pay?

If you try and send a message to a verified Creator and you see a payment panel pop up, it means this Creator has Paid Chats turned on in their Shop. This is a chat mode that requires fans to pay-per-message which helps keep their inbox less cluttered, allowing only serious messages that have been paid for, to make it through.
