Introduction

Calaxy profiles are your public persona on the platform. Your profile contains stuff like profile pic, banner image or video, display name, bio, shop (Creator's only), and content feed. Your profile travels with you in any WORLD you join - who doesn't like familiar faces!

Profile Pics & Banners

Your profile pic is your digital avatar that shows up wherever you go, and on whatever you leave behind (messages, content, collectibles and more). Your profile banner is the space at the top of your profile behind your avatar. Banners can be images or videos (like a Netflix trailer) and really help set the vibe you want to curate.

Setting a profile pic (standard pic):

1. On your profile tab, tap the white pencil (edit) icon just above your following/follower counts on the upper right side

2. Tap the pencil icon on the lower right corner of the default avatar to change the pic

3. On the slide up panel, leave the switch set to "Image" and upload an image from your phone (be sure to adhere to the requirements in the upload box for the best experience)

4. Wait for the pic to load in the avatar preview and then tap "Update Profile Pic"

Setting a profile pic (NFT collectible):

1. On your profile tab, tap the white pencil (edit) icon just above your following/follower counts on the upper right side

2. Tap the pencil icon on the lower right corner of the default avatar to change the pic

3. On the slide up panel, Tap and set the switch to "Collectible" and select a collectible from your wallet (ideally with a cool image!)

4. Tap "Update Profile Pic"

5. Boom! Your profile pic will now get a special colored ring around it, letting others know your avatar is a verified Collectible from your wallet

Setting a profile banner pic

1. On your profile tab, tap the white pencil (edit) icon just above your following/follower counts on the upper right side

2. Tap the black pencil icon in the center of the banner image at the top

3. On the slide up panel, upload an image from your phone (be sure to adhere to the requirements in the upload box for the best experience)

4. Once the image is uploaded, tap "Update Banner" to save.

5. Back on your edit profile screen, you can adjust the banner image placement by dragging the image up and down inside the banner area.

6. When everything is just right, tap the "Update" button at the bottom

Setting a profile banner video

Banner videos work in a similar fashion to Netflix preview trailers when scrolling for 3hrs for your next binge. When someone goes to your profile, the banner image will display for about 2 seconds, and then cross-fade to your banner video - which will play on mute. Users can tap the banner area to view your video in full screen. This is really great for promoting yourself in a really dynamic way and setting the vibe.

1. On your profile tab, tap the white pencil (edit) icon just above your following/follower counts on the upper right side

2. On the slide up panel, first upload an image from your phone (be sure to adhere to the requirements in the upload box for the best experience). A banner image is required before you can upload a banner video

3. Once the image us uploaded, you will be able to upload a banner video (be sure to adhere to the requirements in the upload box for the best experience).

4. Once everything is uploaded, tap "Update Banner" at the bottom

5. Back out of the edit profile screen to preview the new banner setup and boom! If all is well, you're good to go.

Edit Profile

1. On your profile tab, tap the white pencil (edit) icon just above your following/follower counts on the upper right side

2. Edit all the fields like username, display name, bio, and social handles and when done, tap "Update" to save changes

Setting Up Shop (Creator's Only)

If you are a verified Creator account, you will see a "Setup Shop" button just below your profile's description. Tapping this will bring you to the Shop setup manager, where you can turn on an inventory of digital services and experiences to offer to your fans from your profile. Personal Content Feed

Everything you post inside the main Calaxy App or in any WORLD, will display in your profile's personal content feed on the bottom half of your profile. The feed tabs allow your visitors to check out different types of content you have posted (eg. Posts, Polls, premium Fan Club Content [Creator's Only]).

How content is filtered on your profile feed:

If someone checks out your profile from within the main Calaxy App, they will see all content you have posted in the main Calaxy App, and all WORLD apps (so basically, everything you have posted across the entire Creator's Galaxy). If someone checks out your profile while inside a WORLD app, only the content you have posted while inside that WORLD (if at all) will display in your profile feed. If you haven't posted anything inside that WORLD, your profile feed will be empty and we will let visitors know you haven't posted inside that world yet.

Profile Options Menu

The profile options menu can be accessed via the 3-dot options button in the top right corner of your profile.

If you are viewing your own profile:

• You will see "Share Profile" and "Settings".

  • Tap "Share profile" to grab a shareable profile link, or quick share to active conversations you have going on other apps

  • Tap "Settings" to open the app settings panel. Learn more about app settings in the "app settings" drop down menu for this learning section (Login Methods, Managing Connected Socials, Account Security, Account Deletion, and more)

If you are viewing someone else's profile:

• You will see a set of actions you can take related to that person's profile, like sharing it, messaging the person, following/unfollowing them, viewing who their followers are, tipping, and reporting them if they are misbehaving 😈.

Profile View Modes

When looking at your own profile, you can switch view modes from "my view" to "public view" and have a peek at what you look like to other people visiting you. To switch view modes:

1. Open the profile options menu (top right of your profile) and hit the switch from "My View" to "Public View"

2. You will see the options menu change to the set of options presented to visitors

3. If you close the options menu, you will now see what your profile looks like to other people when they visit you (notice the profile edit button is gone from just above the following count in place of the Message and Follow+ icon buttons.)

4. If you are a Creator with a Shop, you can check out your storefront from a buyers perspective to make sure everything looks good before getting loud

5. To switch back to "your view", open the profile options menu again, and toggle the switch back to "my view"

What do the username verified badge colors mean and how do I get one?

• White verified checks attach to usernames on accounts that have been upgraded to "Creator" status. This means they have been vetted by the Calaxy team and can sell services and experiences from their profile, publish paid polls, and accept tips.

• Purple verified checks attach to usernames associated with accounts that belong to Calaxy team members. If you see a purple check, don't be afraid to say hello! Our team loves helping with issues, exploring new ideas for the app, or just hanging out.
